Dr. Javier is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. He received both his undergraduate and Medical Degrees at the University of the Philippines. Dr. Javier continued his studies at the Louis A Weiss Hospital in Chicago, Illinois and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. Association memberships include the American College of Physicians, The American Society of Hypertension, and The American Society of Nephrology. Dr. Javier also serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
Dr. Javier is married to Mary P. Sharp, M.D. and together they are raising three children – Honora, Richard and Dominic. Dr. Javier’s interests include gardening, reading and tennis. He is also very active in the Episcopal Church where he served on the vestry of All Saints Episcopal in East Lansing and sings in the choir. Dr. Javier also enjoys taking jazz piano lessons.
