Dr. Lyon has an office-based practice. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Certified in Bone Densitometry, and she completed her Internal Medicine Residency program at Michigan State University associated hospitals in Lansing. She attended Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine for the degree of Medical Doctor (M.D.); Michigan State University, College of Natural Science for the degree of Master of Science (M.S.) in Cardiovascular Physiology Research; Michigan State University, College of Natural Science for the degree of Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nursing with High Honor; and Mercy Central School of Nursing for her nursing diploma (R.N.). Dr. Lyon has been Assistant Professor with tenure in the College of Nursing at M.S.U. and is presently a Clinical Instructor for Michigan State University, College of Human Medicine. She has been a member of Michigan State Medical Society and Ingham County Medical Society, the Board of Visitors for MSU College of Nursing, the MSU Alumni Band, and MENSA.
Dr. Lyon is particularly interested in the care of cardiovascular patients. Other areas of special interest are osteoporosis, asthma, and restless leg syndrome. Her husband, James, is a Professor Emeritus, College of Human Medicine, Michigan State University. She also has four married children and five grandchildren. Dr. Lyon enjoys gardening, music, hiking, and Spanish language studies.
