It’s that time of year again - the 8th Annual Komen Mid-Michigan Race For The Cure!  The Race For The Cure will be held Sunday, April 25, 2010 at 2pm at the State Capitol. 

You can join our MMP team by going to http://midmichigan.info-komen.org/goto/MMP This will take you directly to our team page.  Click on “Join Team” after our team name “MMP- Magnificent Mammogram Providers” and follow the prompts to register. After you sign up online, please be sure to notify Erin Chavez at CBO of all names registered and what division you belong to so that we will know where to deliver your race packet(s).  Erin can be reached by email on outlook or by calling 913-7020 x4121.   You can also join our team by filling out a paper registration form.  (Look for the display boards that will be coming to all offices soon.)  Please be sure to indicate on the paper registration form which division you belong to. Team Total Deadlines:  You can register online up until Tuesday April 20th at noon.  Paper registration forms must be turned in to the Imaging Center or Erin C. at CBO no later than Monday April 12th.

Encourage friends, family, and neighbors to Race For The Cure with our team!  Let’s show our MMP support for research, education, screening and treatment of breast cancer.  If anyone is unable to attend on race day they can sign up to be a “Sleep In for the Cure” participant (they will still be counted on MMP’s team, receive t-shirt and member packet).

Not only is it important for you to show your support for the fight against breast cancer by signing up for the race, but its also important for you to collect donations.  No matter how small, every donation helps.  Last year there were 6,750 race participants.  Out of those participants 5,418 people only paid for the registration fee and didn’t collect any donations.  Imagine if each of those people would’ve collected even just $10 each. That would’ve made such an impact.
